Recreational facilities in Larchmont and Mamaroneck are among their leading attractions.

Nearby Manor Park offers swimming at one of the finest sand beaches on this side of the Sound.

Mamaroneck Harbor has mooring and docking facilities for 400 boats, a fishing pier, swimming beach, and privately run boatyards and marinas. A forty-acre recreational area provides ball fields and is the site of dances, carnivals, and summer concerts.

Scattered throughout both towns are neighborhood parks and playgrounds. For nature lovers there are three forest sanctuaries. The local reservoir has nature trails where the Friends of the Reservoir offer guided tours and promote conservation through education and community involvement.

At the Hommocks School in Larchmont, an Olympic-size pool is open year-round. During the winter, ice skating is available at an adjacent covered rink. Between them, the towns provide twenty-seven public tennis courts, as well as paddle tennis. For those who enjoy club life, there are yacht, beach, tennis and golf clubs.
